AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAMS

The California School-Age Consortium (CalSAC) is offering 10 hours of free online training to assist out-of-school time programs in providing valuable professional development to staff while working from home. Valid for the month of April.

The California Afterschool Network has put together a list of COVID-19 Resources for the afterschool field, including updates from the California Department of Education.

The California School-Age Consortium (CalSAC) eLearning Courses: Self-paced online professional development trainings for staff, including group discussion guides that can be led virtually. CalSAC is offering a 20% discount through June 30.

PUBLIC & AFFORDABLE HOUSING

Partnership for Children & Youth is working to create a set of resources for staff working in public and affordable housing agencies: COVID Capable: Resources for Affordable Housing Agencies.

How to provide meals while school is out: With school closures, public and affordable housing agencies can provide on-site meals to keep kids fed and keep them home. Check out Partnership for Children & Youth’s brief to learn how.

SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL LEARNING

SEL Every Day Online Courses with Meena Srinivasan to cultivate mindfulness and SEL during these times.

The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) put together suggestions for educators to address the social and emotional needs of students at this time.

The Science of Learning & Development Alliance has developed a list of COVID-19 Resources for Field Leaders.

Greater Good Science Center compiled Greater Good in Education practices and other resources that offer ways to address student and adult anxiety in this time of uncertainty, and cultivate our human connection.

Mills Teacher Scholars has launched a free facilitated online community of practice for teachers, held every Thursday.
